i have a older pink ipod nano please read to help me?
Ive undownloaded and redownloaded itunes 3 times..and it wont show my ipod in itunes so i cant synce any music but its now the cord cus it charges fine it just wont show up in itunes or windows media how can i get music on it then?

just because you can charge your ipod doesnt mean that the cord works fine, it could be a loose/broken connection in the lead somewhere, failing that, have you installed the drivers for your ipod?
It sounds like it could very well be that for some reason it's your cable. Make sure that you have the most recent iTunes for download. You can also try plugging into the computer first, then to your iPod. You can also try restarting your computer then plug your cable. Hope that this helps you.

could be either the usb cable or usb port.
if change port does not fix it, then try the following:
1.sync your ipod to your old computer first.
2. reinstall itune on your computer. and restart your computer.
3. reset your ipod by holding both center and menu buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds or till the back light turn on again.
4. connect your ipod to your computer via usb cable.
if that does not do it, then go to best buy to get a new usb cable.
